About Us

Our practice consists of a four-doctor partnership, which, together with other members of the primary health care team, provides general medical services to all the patients registered with the practice. We practice from two centres: Bellaghy Medical Centre and the surgery in Castledawson. Each doctor in the Practice also provides maternity medical services, child health services and minor surgery.

Our Practice is a training practice for the purpose of the Medical Practitioners Vocational Training regulations. This means that on occasions we may have another doctor, who is fully qualified but training for general Practice, working in the Practice for either six or twelve months. The receptionist will inform you about this if you make an appointment with the doctor.

In both surgeries the consultation and treatment rooms are situated on the ground floor and there is suitable access for disabled people.

If you have any comments on how we could improve our services. Please use the suggestion box located in the waiting room or give to any member of staff.

We also operate a practice complaints procedure and have an in-house complaints officer. Information and complaint forms are available from the Practice Manager.

This practice operates a zero tolerance policy on abuse of staff, whether this be verbal, written or via social media.
